Mark Twigg is a wood turner from Portland, Indiana, where he lives

with his wife and children.  He has been turning since 1977, and creates

one of a kind pieces from maple, cherry, walnut, burls, and exotic woods.

Mark finds great satisfaction in creating elegant objects from material

that was destined to be burned or destroyed.  He believes the lathe

allows much more freedom in shaping wood than any other hand tool,

and manipulates the color and patterns in the wood to compliment the

raw form.
